How I tracked 2023’s data

The most insights have come from:

  1. My weekly habit tracking Google Forms (which is automatically put into Google Sheets)

  2. My 24/7 time tracking

How I analyzed 2023 (compared to 2022)

I wanted to save time so I paid for GPT4 - so I just had to upload my spreadsheets.

For my time tracking, I looked at the percentage of time I spent on each category of my life (sleep, work, friends, exercise).

Then, I compared it to the goal percentage I set at the beginning of the year.

For example, I set a goal on Jan 2023 to spend 4% of my time exercising. By the end of the year, I saw I spent 4.94% of my time exercising, meaning I reached my goal. I do a progress check every month to ensure I’m spending time on what matters to me.

Tracking your time ensures that your time reflects your priorities. You can reflect every month to see if you’re on track to reach your goals.

I also keep an eye on the top 3 things I spend time on, because they reflect my priorities. Over the summer, I prioritized spending time with friends so friends was in top 3. During marathon season, I prioritized training so exercise was in top 3.

Key findings

Reply “template” if you want me to make a template for goal reflection!

In January 2023, my goal was to focus more on my finances.

But I ended up focusing on health and relationships. I think this was because I was unclear with my financial goals and didn’t set systems to achieve them - so I ended up doing what I liked to do (running and spending time with friends).

Compare that to the end of 2023, when I did my reflection:

I started systematizing my goals (scheduling content for my social media accounts, setting up spreadsheets and appointments with my bank for my finances, etc.).

And the rest is history (I went viral + set up my business, tried UGC, tried agency work, sold my own products, etc.).

So I’m really grateful you’re here reading this, because you’ve helped me make my dreams come true (as cliche as that sounds).
