Day 13 habit challenge: stop asking why

Ask "what" instead

“Why can’t I stay consistent?”

“Why can’t I reach my goals?”

Maybe you’ve asked yourself these questions before.

Today, we’ll reframe those questions to better set you up for success.

P.S. yesterday, we learned about streaks (catch up on previous posts here and leave a comment).

Asking “why” isn’t helpful

Example: “why can’t I stay consistent?”

You start putting the blame on yourself.

It feels more negative.

Your answers sound like “I’m too lazy” or “I was tired.”

Ask “what” instead

Reframe the question into something like this:

“What conditions allow me to be more consistent with my habits?”

“What am I noticing that is hindering my progress with consistency right now?”

This is more solution-oriented.

Your answers are more actionable:

“I need a quiet environment” or “I need to put my phone away before bed.”
